We are currently recruiting the following talent:

Business Collaboration Developers
3 years working experience in IT, and at least 2 projects using Open Standards for Business to Business Collaboration. Industry experience in Automotive, Government or Healthcare is a bonus. In addition, either of the following two specific skill sets are required:

  • - Familiarity with the ebXML Specifications (see www.ebXML.org), primarily the ebXML Messaging Service, Collaborating Partner Profiles and Agreements, Registry Services components of the specification. Experience with the other components (Registry Information Model, and Business Process Specification) would be a bonus. - Practical project expereince with at least one ebXML implementation OR experience with:
  • - Using Web Services and SOAP (UDDI, WSDL, WSIF, BPEL) for secure Business to Business Collaboration. - Practical experience with at least one application that produces and consumes Web Services. - Practical experience using Web Services technologies to provide secure and / or reliable communication in a Web Services environment.

The Company also has an ongoing requirement for a variety of roles for near term project assignments. These include the following positions:

Team Leaders
Minimum 1 year of team leadership experience and 5 years of overall IT experience, preferably in software development environments and thorough work experience with JAVA and related technologies (J2EE, EJB, JSP, Javascript, Servlets, Applets, Applications, JDBC, Swing, RMI, JMS, etc.)

Senior Systems Analysts
Must have at least 2 years experience in user/systems requirement definitions, conducting facilitated meetings (e.g. JAD), data/process or object modeling (UML), functional design, CASE Tools such as Rational Rose, or TogetherSoft. At least 4 years of industry experience and should have some experience with intranets/ extranets.

Programmer Analysts
Minimum of 3 years industry experience and 12 months of work experience with JAVA and related technologies (J2EE, EJB, JSP, Servlets, Applets, Applications, JDBC, Swing, RMI, JMS, etc.) Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript are definite assets.

Technical Architects
Minimum 5 years industry experience and at least 18 months architecting application and corporate infrastructures, using a variety of technologies. Should ideally have several years prior experience in software development.

Student Opportunities
QTECH is currently seeking students who would like to gain some industry experience working on two web based projects on a part-time volunteer basis. Project details will depend on the interest, skill and experience of the volunteer

The ideal candidate(s), would be enrolled in a computer science related program and have experience with Java, Javascript, Hibernate, Struts, Spring, Mysql, HTML, Java Webstart and general website creation methodologies. The successful applicant should have strong technical aptitude, excellent problem solving ability and be comfortable learning new skills and technologies in order to deliver technical solutions. We are also looking for someone who is detail orientated and self motivated with good communication skills. This is a non-paying position, geared for individuals looking to hone their technology skills and gain real-world project experience.
